Proverbs 29
Proverbs 31

Proverbs 30

5-6 The believer replied, "Every promise of God proves true;
   he protects everyone who runs to him for help.
So don't second-guess him;
   he might take you to task and show up your lies."

7-9 And then he prayed, "God, I'm asking for two things
   before I die; don't refuse me—
Banish lies from my lips
   and liars from my presence.
Give me enough food to live on,
   neither too much nor too little.
If I'm too full, I might get independent,
   saying, 'God? Who needs him?'
If I'm poor, I might steal
   and dishonor the name of my God."

Not much more needs to be said about these four verses.  In fact less needs to be said and more needs to be done to live as though we believe it.  Someone who believes that God is our loving Father lives in such a way that he believes that God will take care of him.  So he is not stressed about tomorrow or what he will eat or where he will live or what he will wear - the child of God believes that God's promises of provision and protection are true and lives in such a way.

Yesterday at church we talked about the fact that disciples of Christ don't just believe in Christ, but that belief in Him changes the way we live.  So today the question is...Are our lives and actions showing that we believe in God's provision and protection?
